Can you make a Hungry Caterpillar hat or headband? Retell the story munching your way through the different foods.

Make your lunch into a Hungry Caterpillar and then gobble it all up
Find some leaves in your garden or on your daily walk and practice weaving in and out of the leaves.
Paint, collage or colour butterflies on paper or on the ground. Can you make a bigger butterfly or a smaller one?

Make some pictures of Jack's beanstalk, find some leaves outside to add to the stalk. What can you use for the clouds at the top of the beanstalk?
Can you build a beanstalk to reach the castle in the clouds? You could use anything in your home, boxes, cushions, Lego bricks or tins. How tall can you make it before it falls over? Are some things easier to build with than others? How can you make your stalk stronger?
Build a castle for the giant to live in in the sky using some of your bricks. You could add shaving foam or washing up bubbles for the clouds, 'Fee fi fo fum is that someone in nursery I can smell!'.
Draw around your foot and cut it out. Can you measure it using different objects in your house? Can you find someone in your house who has a bigger foot? What do you think the giant's foot would look like?
Make some giant feet using some cardboard from a box in your home. Tie them to your feet and practice walking around the room like the giant.
Make a castle picture using chalks, paints or pens for the giant to live in.
What do you think the giant looks like? Can you draw a picture of him so that everyone knows what he looks like? We would hate to bump into him when we are on our daily walk.

Make your own flying saucer and add the Little Men.
Make a pond for your Five Little Ducks and sing the song while taking a duck away.
Draw dots on your Five Little Ducks and then add the right number of clothes pegs to match the numbers or write the number on the peg and match them up.
Miss Polly had a Dolly is one of our favourite rhymes in Nursery. Can you find some things at home that you can use to help your dolls, dinosaurs or other poorly toys?
Decorate an egg to make your own Humpty Dumpty. Make a wall for him to sit on, you could use bricks, cardboard boxes or cushions. But be careful that he doesn't fall off.
What happens if you put your Humpty Dumpty in water? Does he float or sink? Find other things around your home and experiment if they float or sink in the water.
