Year 2

Hello Year 2 - MACARONI CHEESE!! (I hope you said "everybody freeze!")

I hope you are liking the super cool reading and maths books I have sent home for you! They are so grown up and will give you lots of chance to practise your reading and maths just like we do in class.

Don't forget all the other things we have been doing in Year 2 this year! I'm sure you will have lots of things you want to write about so write about anything you like whenever you can! Remember those lovely handwriting joins and think about all the things we can include now -conjunctions, commas in lists, expanded noun phrases and contractions. (Your grown ups will be so impressed!)

We have done some amazing topics so far and you had just made me some amazing powerpoints about castles. Keep researching castles and queens if you can as well as thinking about growing plants.

I have put lots of lists on Spelling Shed for the rules we have just looked at and you can also keep going with TT Rock Stars.

I am missing you all so much but I'm sure you are having a great time at home. I will keep leaving you messages on here so don't forget to check in! I will even read you some stories - hopefully we will like them as much as we loved reading Fing!

Don't forget to wash your hands and sing our song. We'll see you soon!

Love from Miss Dean, Miss Kaye, Miss Kosicki.

Please send messages from you children (and from you!) so we can put them on here and share with their friends.

Hello Year 2!

It is very very quiet in school without my favourite Year 2s! Your classroom is very quiet but it is ready for you to come back soon and fill it with lots of noise!

Miss Dean has sent some lovely books home for you to use,I hope you like them. There are lots of things for you to do on the website too, we have added lots of websites you might like to try.

We want to know what you are up to to - please get in touch and you can even send us pictures too! Ask your adult to send it through the website or on our new Facebook page, then I will post it on here so you can share it with your friends.

It's really important that you look after yourselves and your families at the moment and I know just how sensible and caring you all are. Remember to keep washing your hands and don't be playing out with other people as we don't want any germs to spread.

Lots of love,

Mrs. Lomas

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all OK and keeping safe.

I am missing you all so much, your little smiley faces that always brighten my day, our morning cuddles, your infectious laughs, your jokes, our little chats, our morning game of duck, duck goose in Breakfast Club, my brilliant bakers in Baking Club and not forgetting my Small Pet Team! I cannot wait for school to be back open so I can see you all and give you all the biggest squeeze!

To my parents I am missing you all too! The chats and the coffees, the laughs we have, being that shoulder to cry on if you need it and eating our body weight in biscuits! I will be here waiting for you all as soon as school reopens.

Keep washing those hands and I will see you all soon.

Lots of love, Mrs Shaw xxx
