Cliffe Hill Community Primary School

Welcome to Cliffe Hill

A A A

Year 1

Hello to all my lovely Year one children,

Your behaviour and attitudes have been super over the past two weeks. I am sending you all an enormous virtual hug and a huge well done!

I am missing you all a lot, but I know you are all going to be amazing and listen to all the brainy grown- ups (much more brainy than Mr Duncan) by staying at home – nice and safe. Mr Duncan, Mrs Peel and all of the other teachers will keep putting messages and photos on the website for you. Remember at Cliffe Hill we are a TEAM and as part of that team we now have to make sure we wash our hands properly (remember the song and the rhyme we learnt), stay inside most of the time and keeps parents/grandparents/carers super happy by doing what we are told. I will find out if not…

You are some of the nicest, kindest and hardworking children I have taught and I know you will try so hard with your work at home! Please keep reading. All that hard work we put into our reading scores will pay off if we keep picking up reading books and practising our sounds. Think of what super readers you will be by the time you are in Year 2 if you read every day!

I know we are going to be kind to all the people who need it. Make pictures for people who cannot get out of their house.  Send nice messages to all the people who are working super hard in the hospitals. Most of all, be kind to your grown-ups and look after them. We are a super team and I will see all my superhero Year 1’s soon.

Stay Safe,

Mr Duncan and Mrs Peel

From Cooper

Jake James is very busy with his brother Tyler, doing experiments in the garden!

Dominik has been very busy making aeroplanes and air dry models!

Hello Year 1!

It is very quiet in school without my favourite Year 1s! I cannot wait for us to be able to open back up and enjoy the rest of the year - I am hoping I can persuade Mr. Duncan to let me come to The Deep with you (you might need to help me!).

Mr. Duncan has sent some work home for you and there are lots of ideas on our website for you to do too. Ask your adults to help send some messages through the website or through our new Facebook page that I can share with your friends. We would love to know what you are up to to!

I look forward to seeing you all soon, take care and make sure you are not playing out and spreading germs.

Love from,

Mrs. Lomas

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all OK and keeping safe.

I am missing you all so much, your little smiley faces that always brighten my day, our morning cuddles, your infectious laughs, your jokes, our little chats, our morning game of duck, duck goose in Breakfast Club, my brilliant bakers in Baking Club and not forgetting my Small Pet Team! I cannot wait for school to be back open so I can see you all and give you all the biggest squeeze!

To my parents I am missing you all too! The chats and the coffees, the laughs we have, being that shoulder to cry on if you need it and eating our body weight in biscuits! I will be here waiting for you all as soon as school reopens.

Keep washing those hands and I will see you all soon.

Lots of love, Mrs Shaw xxx
