Year 3

Roman Day
Hi Year 3! (And anyone else who just wants to join in)
So we were supposed to be having our Roman Day at school today and it seems that some of you are a little bit disappointed that it won't be happening so...let's make it happen!
We are challenging you to have a your own Roman day! Have a go at dressing up like a Roman and share your pictures with us.  There are also ideas for Roman activities you can try out at home below. Over the next week it would be lovely to see what you have been up to so please share your Roman adventures with us!

Hi Year 3!

We hope you have been able to enjoy some of the lovely sunshine this week. We are missing you so much and wishing we were all together playing games in the playground and climbing the Roktagon.
We sent you some packs of activities to keep you going when the weather isn't so nice and you might have to stay inside. You have some maths to do which is going over a lot of the things we have done this year. Remember, if you are stuck, drawing counters, pictures and bar models can be super helpful.
You also have some reading and questions to answer about what you read. These are all about topics you have done in Year 3 and Key Stage 1 so they should be a breeze!
We looked at your writing and chose some grammar work which we know you need a little practice on. When you come back to school you will all be writing superstars!
Don't forget to log on to Spelling Shed and TT Rockstars. Your usernames and passwords are in your home learning pack. Remember you should know your 2, 5, 10, 3, 4 and 8 times tables off by heart! Keeping up with these basic skills will make it much easier for you when you come back to school.
Stay safe, look after each other and time will fly by. We can't wait to see you all again and have loads of fun at school.

Friday fun with the Mellors!

Well done Izzy! The Mellor Star of the Week!

Hello Year 3!

I hope my favourite Year 3s are enjoying some time at home - but we are missing you! It is very quiet in school;  Mrs. Q and Mr. T are looking fed up already. I will just be glad to see you all back in your classroom.

If you can ask an adult to hep you, please can you send us some messages of things you are doing? It would be great to hear from you. You can send them through the website or on our new Facebook page - you can put pictures on there too.

Your teachers have sent some packs home for you to work through and there are lots of things on the website for you to do.

Make sure you are washing your hands and don't be playing out and spending time with other people - we all need to stay at home as much as we can and stop the germs from spreading.

See you all soon,

Love from Mrs. Lomas

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all OK and keeping safe.

I am missing you all so much, your little smiley faces that always brighten my day, our morning cuddles, your infectious laughs, your jokes, our little chats, our morning game of duck, duck goose in Breakfast Club, my brilliant bakers in Baking Club and not forgetting my Small Pet Team! I cannot wait for school to be back open so I can see you all and give you all the biggest squeeze!

To my parents I am missing you all too! The chats and the coffees, the laughs we have, being that shoulder to cry on if you need it and eating our body weight in biscuits! I will be here waiting for you all as soon as school reopens.

Keep washing those hands and I will see you all soon.

Lots of love, Mrs Shaw xxx
